In many Asian food cultures, it has been understood for centuries that food is more than just filling up. It is part of a mindful life – something to be chosen, prepared and enjoyed with care. This attitude shapes our work at Sathya Taste.

A food is only as good as its journey

How a tea tastes, how aromatic a cinnamon is or how fresh a coconut oil smells is decided long before it reaches your kitchen. Four stages matter most:

  1. Growing and harvest – in traditional growing regions, often by smallholders with decades of experience.
  2. Processing – as gentle as possible and close to the origin, so that aroma and natural qualities are preserved.
  3. Storage and transport – dry, clean and documented. Every import into the EU goes through the official TRACES NT system.
  4. Your plate – freshly packed and quickly with you.

What we do for it

  • We buy directly from estates and producers in Sri Lanka, Myanmar and India.
  • Our suppliers provide proof of certifications such as EU Organic, HACCP, ISO 22000 or FSSC 22000 – and we check validity and scope.
  • Region of origin, crop year and batch are documented for every shipment.
"Sathya" means truth. For us, that means being honest about where a food comes from and how it reached you.
